We are a generation that has lived through the greatest wave of change since the industrial revolution. When we started school we used pencils and chalkboards. Our home entertainment was a large radio. We didn’t dream of having an online business because it simply didn’t exist.
Our families and schools purchased television sets, black and white and then colour. We watched man land on the moon. The horrors of the Vietnam War raged in our lounge room. We consistently embraced the latest ways of doing things. Somehow we managed to learn how to use slide rules. We willingly embraced desktop computers, laptops and mobile devices. During our lives we have experienced book learning and traditional retail, but now also engage in online business and online learning. Technology is in every facet of our lives.
We have been a remarkably adaptable generation, and many baby boomers have strong technology skills. Age is not an issue online if you are willing to learn the contemporary ways of creating an income.
Many older people start all sorts of business online. Your success is only only limited by your imagination, your interests and research about what people are looking for. The skills are easily learnt.
Even the most traditional professional services require you to understand online business strategies.
Many people of our generation make good money using technology, with the added advantage of mental stimulation. Read some of the posts below to get some ideas about online business options.
